The Marketing Director of Technology will continually raise the bar on innovation, creativity, and imagination in all areas of digital work for Stanley Black & Decker. The successful candidate will have a can-do spirit and contribute to our digital strategy. This position will be the liaison between Marketing, IT, and Vendors, translating business needs and requirements into technical concepts and solutions. This role will deliver components of digital platform and will ensure a high degree of system availability and reliability. Who you Are: An experienced Marketing Director who possesses advanced knowledge, skills and abilities required to resolve complex IT issues. You have strong knowledge in Marketing technologies like CMS, PIM/DAM, eCommerce, planning and forecasting techniques for multiple functional areas within IT. You have the proven ability to manage a department or a group with multiple disciplines and the ability to develop and drive budgeting process. Specifically, You're a problem solver guided by long term objectives and business requirements, can analyze long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and decisions and remove barrier to change. Lead rigorous process and service improvement programs, and develop new techniques to support innovative solutions. Provide guidance in carrying out objectives of the department of work area, lead teams in understanding the link between Business objectives and their contributions. Develop budgets and schedules and performance requirements, build long term development and succession plans and collaborate with key stakeholders both internal and external. Serve as an important liaison to external customers and vendors, and assume responsibility for sales objectives Your work is guided by functional strategy, as you'll establish operational objectives for leaders and/or teams of professionals across the sub-function. Implement policies and define approach to strategy achievement for area managed, provide authoritative advice to top leadership based on deep subject matter expertise and be accountable for related performance objectives. Lastly, you'll initiate integrated business plans based on senior leadership strategy. What you'll do: You will be responsible for developing the vision, goals, strategies, and tactics to drive step-change adoption of and engagement with new digital solutions to deliver long-term value. Work with cross-functional teams to manage and deliver Digital web solutions on time, as well as champion the best possible user experience for the users. Provide technical services and assistance in implementing Digital components and the integration with other Enterprise systems Partner with business and IT leaders throughout the organization to assist them on their Digital journey and business growth. Partner with outside vendors to deliver services, technology and platforms to the business. Review new technologies and trends to keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital platform Analyze requirements and propose system and process based solutions. Articulate technical concepts to non-technical levels of the organization is a must. Meet aggressive deadlines for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Direct the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group. Manage the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce. Be responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members. Communicate and translate Digital vision/strategy to staff. Execute on functional and business goals for the group. Address problems across functional areas of the business. Influence individuals within and outside the IT department. Meet budgetary goals and objectives.Prepare and presents reports to all levels of leadership and staff. Required Skills & Experience Possesses advanced knowledge, skills and abilities required to resolve more complex IT issues Strong knowledge in Marketing technologies like CMS, PIM/DAM, eCommerce Knowledge of planning and forecasting techniques for multiple functional areas within IT. Proven ability to manage a department or a group with multiple disciplines. Advanced understanding and ability to develop and drive budgeting process 13+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 3-6 years’ experience working with the Marketing Technologies strongly desired 6-9 years leadership experience.
